Your VT Username, which is a unique identifier that you own and control, is your VT Username. Access to HokieSPA and Canvas, OneCampus, and Office365 is granted by your VT Username.
You can access online Virginia Tech services with your VT Username. Students, alumni, and current employees can log on to HokieSPA to make changes to their address or view their academic history.
You can still enroll if you stop enrollment for one or more terms, or if you are leaving for the summer. Your VT Username and access to your Passphrase through VT Account Manager, as well as access to HokieSPA, will be retained. You should be aware of any changes to your eligibility for online services. The majority of basic services offer a one-year grace period.
Your VT Username will still be assigned to you as you move towards graduation. HokieSPA allows you to access your academic records and update your contact information.
Your VT Username is created by you choosing a string of characters that you can easily remember. This will depend on your eligibility and may stay with you for a while. Your VT Username is a logon credential. It should be easy to remember.
Your VT Username is unique to you. You should manage your passphrase so you can only log in to services using it. It is recommended to change your passphrase regularly and to change it if you suspect that it has been compromised.
